Summary

Provides recommendations and documentation of nutritional information for inpatients and serves as a resource for medical nutrition therapy within the facility. Presents educational material to inpatients, outpatients, hospital programs, and community groups.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must meet one of the following:

1. Master’s degree in nutrition or a related field for those seeking eligibility for registration examination for dietitians on or after January 1, 2024.
2. Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field for individuals who established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023 or those who are already registered prior to December 31,2023.

1. Current licensure or license-eligible in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Dietician-Nutritionist. License must be obtained within six months of employment.
2. Current registration or registry-eligible as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registration must be obtained within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. One year of experience as a dietitian in a clinical and/or institutional setting.
