Scale House Operator (Part Time: Saturdays & Sundays) at Old Bridge Minerals – Old Bridge, New Jersey

Title: Scale House Security / Operator (Part Time: Saturdays & Sundays)

Reports To: Traffic Manager

Summary: The Scale House Security / Operator oversees security of the plant, including visitors and team members. They also oversee all facets of the truck weighing process. The duties include, but are not limited to, weighing trucks, collecting and reviewing packing lists, inputting all information into a computerized weighing system, running reports, and producing Bills of Lading.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

- Ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all inbound and outbound shipments.

- Inspect paperwork for inbound and outbound trucks.

- Complete and maintain incoming/outbound logs.

- Must be aware of all personnel that are coming in and out of the Scalehouse.

- Monitor the facilities security cameras throughout the shift.

- Remain attentive during all workforce shift changes while preventing any property of Old Bridge Minerals from being removed without proper authorization.

- Follow and enforce strict schedule

Skills and Requirements:

- Proficiency with computerized scale systems and other similar software and equipment.

- Communication skills to deal with a wide range of shippers, vendors, and co-workers.

- Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner while following safety policies and procedures.

- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent required.

- Must obtain New Jersey State Weighmaster accreditation (The company will cover the cost).

- Must have DOT training certificate. (Company will arrange)

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills

- Maintain the ability to handle situations as they arise.

- Exposure to hazards associated with the Company such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards

- Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, sitting, and working for long periods of time

- Must always abide by all safety regulations and rules

- Must be able to work in any weather conditions
