Who You AreThe ideal P&L Manager is a hands-on, people-focused leader with a strong background in food manufacturing. You thrive in fast-paced environments, value food safety and quality, communicate effectively at all levels, and lead with accountability. You’re organized, adaptable, and motivated to develop teams while driving operational efficiency.
What You’ll DoAs a P&L Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing packing and loading operations to ensure the safe, efficient production of high-quality products that meet customer demand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, hiring, training, and developing all Packing & Loading department employees
- Supervising day-to-day packing and loading operations while maintaining audit-ready conditions
- Scheduling production to align with sales demand and business needs
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and sanitation standards (GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, GFSI)
- Managing packaging supply inventory and coordinating shipment of samples
- Maintaining required documentation for regulatory compliance and audits
- Coordinating calibration schedules and verification activities
- Representing the department on Food Safety and Safety & Sanitation teams
- Becoming PCQI certified and supporting continuous process improvement
- Associate’s Degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new processes and take on new responsibilities
- Experience working in regulated food safety environments preferred
- Ability to pass a Qualitative Respirator Fit Test and perform physical job requirements
