CAN Community Health is now hiring a Grant Support Specialist I

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Salary: $21.25 - $24.43 hourly depending on experience

What You’ll Do

This position has two primary responsibilities:

A. Serve as the primary support person for CAN Community Health Ryan White Contract Managers, providing real-time quality assurance audits and data entry support for eligibility determination, case management, dental, local pharmacy assistance, and other service categories.

B. Provide activities to support grant outcomes including, but not limited to, outreach activities, testing, linkage services, follow-up contacts and other retention-to-care services.

  • Promote patient enrollment into the CAN Community Health Ryan White clinic program by ensuring notice of eligibility verification and data input.
  • Assist contract managers prepare and verify monthly invoices submitted to Ryan White Grantees for reimbursement to CAN; assure that other CAN staff receive invoice and supporting documentation, transmit the invoice, and account for invoice funds expended and received.
  • Provide reports, invoices, and other documentation to the Ryan White program office.
  • Compile programmatic encounter reports from eCW to assist contract managers in accurate billing of Ryan White services.
  • Oversee and assure completion of quality assurance and quality improvement plans as directed by the Ryan White grant guidance.
  • Perform quality assurance checks for data entry into Provide Enterprise or other Ryan White Information Management system.
  • Participate in CAN’s local Quality Management Committee.
  • Participate in local HIV planning activities including the Ryan White Planning Council or Consortium and/or its subcommittees as directed.
  • Provide grant related activity for care and prevention agreements, as assigned.
  • Ensures confidentiality is maintained by Ryan White funded staff regarding patient/client information in accordance with HIPAA, professional and departmental standards.

Requirements:

Education/Professional:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social services from an accredited school or equivalent public health program experience.
  2. HIV prevention/intervention experience.
  3. Ryan White eligibility, operations and case management training.
  4. Basic Annual Safety Training, and Confidentiality Training.
  5. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.

Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required (https://info.flclearinghouse.com)
