Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides information and analysis in an administrative, financial, and professional capacity by assisting department leadership in organizational development, benchmarking, operational reporting, scorecards, management reporting, performance management, measuring trends, budgeting, cost analysis, and other in depth financial and operational analysis activities. Responsible for the implementation of process improvement in the areas of Finance and Administrative processes.
Scope: Department-wide
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of business-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assists with operational decisions and the development and implementation of strategic long and short-term plans to assure fiscal growth, solvency, and accountability.
• Performs cost and profit analysis; identifies areas for improvement in financial performance; recommends financial solutions and implements corrective action plans.
• Develops and implements procedural changes and standards to improve administrative operations.
• Identifies and enforces appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
• Trains personnel on administrative processes and procedures.
• Demonstrates advanced working knowledge to provide guidance on Purchasing and Accounts Payable processes.
• Fosters partnerships with professionals and other colleagues across departments to facilitate problem resolution.
• Creates and develops specialized reports including business plans, operational reviews, and profitability analysis, makes recommendations to department leadership.
• May supervise grant management for the department.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Possess and demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding, with progressive development, of financial statements and relationships, analytical techniques, operations, practices, and procedures
• Progressive development of the ability to analyze/evaluate data
• Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with individuals at all levels of the institution
• Possess advanced decision making skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Ability to develop, communicate and accomplish goals

- Laboratory operations experience and familiarity with EPIC Beaker strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with knowledge of AI tools and technologies preferred.
