Job Description

We’re growing and looking for a motivated, people-focused Director of Business Development to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Hockley, Texas.

This full-time, entry-level sales role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting sales efforts, and contributing directly to company growth. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work makes a real impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Director of Business Development, you will play an active role in supporting customers, driving sales, and strengthening long-term relationships. Travel may be required on an occasional basis. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and support assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely communication and follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new, existing, and former customers
  • Identify prospective customers through online research, business directories, and referrals from existing clients
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to support sales strategies and growth opportunities
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, pricing, and product innovations
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and sales presentations using compiled data
  • Provide customers with product, promotion, and pricing information, including samples and catalogs, based on their needs
  • Resolve order, inventory, and account issues by researching data, identifying solutions, and communicating with customers and management
  • Identify and help resolve sales-related challenges to improve customer satisfaction
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding new products, services, and enhancements
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and address any post-sale concerns
  • Perform administrative sales duties, including maintaining sales records and contacting customers with delinquent accounts
  • Assist with trade shows and sales events, including coordinating samples and materials
  • Visit customers as needed to support relationship development and sales efforts
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree required (exception may be made for candidates with significant, proven sales experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Customer service mindset with strong people skills
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and pay close attention to detail
  • Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel out of state and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Reliable transportation or plans to relocate prior to start date

Preferred:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of sales or customer-facing experience
  • Interest in developing selling skills and growing a career in sales

Work Environment and Job Location:

  • This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
