Vice President, Engineering

This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity for a technology-driven professional passionate about scaling modern SaaS platforms and driving AI-powered innovation. In this role, you will lead a global engineering organization focused on delivering reliable, scalable, and customer-centric software solutions across voice and digital experience ecosystems. You will shape long-term technology strategy, guide AI transformation initiatives, and foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, you will influence business outcomes while mentoring high-performing distributed teams. This position offers the chance to work on enterprise-scale platforms supporting billions of customer interactions annually in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the overall engineering and technology strategy aligned with business growth objectives and product innovation goals.
  • Lead global engineering, QA, DevOps, and AI/ML teams, ensuring high performance, collaboration, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, deployment, security, observability, and maintenance of cloud-native SaaS platforms.
  • Drive the transition toward AI-native engineering practices and lead the implementation of AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, vector databases, MLOps, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations teams to align technical delivery with customer and business needs.
  • Establish engineering metrics, governance frameworks, and performance standards to improve reliability, quality, scalability, and development velocity.
  • Manage engineering budgets, infrastructure planning, vendor relationships, and technology due diligence initiatives.
  • Represent engineering leadership in executive discussions and communicate technical strategies effectively to business stakeholders, investors, and leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement across distributed engineering organizations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in senior engineering leadership roles within SaaS, cloud-native, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Proven success leading and scaling large global engineering organizations with 50+ engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong expertise in software development lifecycle management, agile methodologies, DevOps, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architecture.
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling AI/ML or generative AI solutions in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, NLP, MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business priorities while driving measurable operational and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in high-growth or private equity-backed environments is highly valued.
  • Background in customer experience technologies, chatbot platforms, or digital assurance solutions is considered a plus.
