Pay Range: $89,169.60 - $107,868.80 per year

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

Job Overview:

Provide assessment, prevention/intervention, education, treatment and discharge services to adult psychiatric patients and their families. The clinician will also actively participate in Department specific and hospital wide activities to ensure regulatory compliance enhance program development and quality improvement. Additionally the clinician will engage in community outreach, professional associations and marketing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work or Counseling; or a PhD from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of job-related clinical experience required. Experience with community marketing and referral development preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: NJ State licensure (LCSW or LPC) is preferred. LSW or LAC is acceptable depending on experience level.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent customer satisfaction and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication.
    • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
    • Ability to present effectively to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides individual, group, and family therapy for crisis intervention, ongoing treatment, and evaluation of progress.
  • Determines future course of treatment and maintains professional competence through continuing education.
  • Maintains up-to-date records including psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Submits billing charges accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participates in treatment rounds and works with insurance companies/case managers to monitor resources.
  • Coordinates with other clinicians and adheres to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Covers additional groups or patients as required by the supervisor.
  • Maintains regular contact with referral sources and facilitates ancillary provider referrals.
  • Actively markets the Eating Disorder Program through community outreach and training sessions.
  • Provides specialized information regarding eating disorders to patients, families, and the community.
  • Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide appropriate care for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Identifies and interprets age-specific health care needs.
  • Adheres to Standard Precautions, Safety, and Infection Control policies.
  • Ensures practice follows corporate compliance and regulatory guidelines (NJSDOH and JCAHO).
  • Maintains a safe/clean environment and follows incident reporting procedures.
