This role is responsible for leading and strengthening environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices across multiple industrial sites in a complex, high-impact manufacturing environment. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while actively driving a culture of safety, prevention, and continuous improvement. Acting as both a technical expert and operational leader, you will support field teams through training, audits, inspections, and incident investigations. The position involves frequent travel across multiple U.S. sites, offering broad exposure to diverse operational environments. You will collaborate closely with site leadership and EHS specialists to implement policies that protect employees, contractors, and facilities. This is a hands-on, field-oriented leadership role where your expertise directly contributes to workplace safety and environmental performance across the organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support EHS specialists across multiple sites, ensuring consistent application of safety standards and operational practices.
  • Conduct site inspections, internal audits, and compliance reviews aligned with OSHA VPP and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Lead incident investigations, including accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and new hires, ensuring ongoing awareness and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance on regulatory interpretation, risk mitigation, and safe operational practices across facilities.
  • Monitor workplace processes and equipment to identify hazards and recommend safety and environmental improvements.
  • Support emergency preparedness, fire safety programs, DOT compliance, and facility safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, training records, and compliance reporting across all assigned locations.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent post-secondary education; Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles with significant focus on regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and HAZMAT and hazardous waste compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and standard reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, travel up to 50%, and manage field-based responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, and build trust across teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan options.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • Opportunities for professional development and safety leadership growth.
  • Exposure to multi-site operations across a national industrial network.
  • Supportive and safety-driven work culture focused on continuous improvement.
