This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving the sales strategy and performance of industrial bakery machinery across the North American market. You will lead customer engagement, oversee complex capital equipment sales cycles, and act as a key ambassador for long-term client partnerships in the bakery industry. The role blends strategic business development, technical sales expertise, and hands-on customer interaction, with a strong focus on high-value capital equipment (CAPEX) solutions. You will manage key accounts, shape regional market growth, and ensure seamless coordination across sales, service, engineering, and operations teams. This is a highly visible position where customer insight, commercial excellence, and leadership directly influence market share and revenue performance. - Lead the sales strategy and execution for industrial bakery equipment across North America, ensuring alignment with revenue, growth, and market share targets.
- Act as the primary customer-facing leader, deeply understanding client needs, operational challenges, and investment goals to deliver tailored CAPEX solutions.
- Manage and grow strategic customer relationships, dedicating significant time to key accounts through direct engagement, site visits, and consultative selling.
- Oversee the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and RFQ to installation, commissioning, and post-sale support in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and commercial strategies aligned with business unit objectives.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders including engineering, application teams, service, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless delivery of customer commitments.
- Drive market development by identifying new opportunities, expanding the customer base, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
- Ensure accurate CRM data management to support pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial terms in alignment with corporate governance and profitability goals.
- Contribute to business strategy by bringing market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to leadership and R&D teams.
- Manage and develop regional sales teams and external agents to ensure consistent performance and customer-focused execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Bakery Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- 7–10+ years of experience in long-cycle sales, business development, or project-based commercial roles with direct revenue responsibility.
- Mandatory experience in the industrial bakery equipment industry, with strong exposure to CAPEX or capital equipment sales.
- Strong understanding of North American market dynamics and international sales environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical and commercial negotiations in high-value B2B environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
- Experience developing and executing commercial strategies under time-sensitive and high-pressure conditions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and structured sales forecasting practices.
- Strong commercial acumen, legal/contracting awareness, and negotiation capabilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% as required.
- Competitive base salary ($140,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience and location)
