Finance Coordinator at RWJBarnabas Health – Somerset , New Jersey

Job Overview:

The primary purpose of the coordinator is to perform Finance & administrative work as they relate to coordinating patient care and vendor management. Serves as the liaison between patient, family, internal and external health care providers.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BS in Accounting, finance or a related field; appropriate experience may be substituted for educational requirement
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in a healthcare setting, business office or academic institution

Preferred:

• Experience with Quickbooks, Peoplesoft and Zoll emsCharts

Essential Functions:

• Familiarity with vendor management, vendor invoices & vendor payments
• understand the patient charts, quality assurance auditing of charting
• Familiarity with handling patient billing complaints that are escalated by Revenue Cycle Specialists
• Maintain proper documentation and record keeping of activities and oversight of all non-patient billings
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a highly professional demeanor in person and on the telephone
• Must be computer-literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Reviews and analyzes performance and PCR compliance in Zoll emsCharts
• Performs audits and follow-up on outstanding charts
• Displays flexibility in prioritizing assignments
