About This Position

ENTEK is seeking applications for a Project Manager role to join us on-site at our Terre Haute, Indiana location (relocation within 40 miles of Terre Haute is required).

As a Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing industrial equipment turn-key projects, ensuring they meet strict quality standards, deadlines, and budgets. The Project Manager will work closely with the Executive Team and Design Team, overseeing all aspects of project management from initiation to completion while maintaining high levels of safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.

Duties May Include:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring all project milestones and timelines are met using appropriate project management tools.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers throughout the project, providing status updates and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Set and manage expectations for both team members and customers, including delivering regular status reports on progress, milestones, and risks.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, ensuring timely resolution of any obstacles or delays.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify problem areas and proactively manage changes in scope. Develop contingency plans for potential risks or crises.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring progress is aligned with the project schedule.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and other key documentation to stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Encourage accountability and positive action to meet project goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the project scope and deliverables, aligning the project's objectives with the company's broader strategy.
  • Develop and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies for project execution and management to streamline processes and improve project outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, construction, etc.) is preferred. A high school diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted
  • Proven experience with medium to large projects (up to $50MM) in an industrial environment (Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, or similar role)
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficient project scheduling abilities, and understanding of related principles and practices (task links and dependencies, baseline, critical path, float, etc.)
  • A working knowledge of computer scheduling programs (i.e., Microsoft Project or Primavera)
  • Ability to build and maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules working with multiple calendars and resources
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders in all project phases including preliminary engineering, procurement, construction and installation, commissioning, and start-up
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail, be organized, and self-motivated
  • Efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
  • PMI membership and certification (PMP or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fabrication and assembly experience for custom equipment is a plus
  • PMI Membership and credential preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment design
  • Experience scheduling multiple projects and pulling together multiple schedules into a master schedule, including interfacing with other departments and related schedules
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling and reporting (PWA)
  • Experience in a PMO (Project Management Office) or as a Project Manager
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Working Environment

The hours for this role are Monday-Friday starting at 7:00 am.

The employee will be asked to work in manufacturing plants. The job may require the employee to work near moving mechanical parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals in the plant environment. The noise level in the production facility is usually loud, and this employee will be exposed to the production area. All necessary PPE is provided. The employee is expected to use all recommended PPE in an appropriate manner.

The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand, walk, and may occasionally need to kneel, crouch, and climb stairs. If this role requires visiting the plant and/or shop floors, wearing eye and hearing protection will be required. The role requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
