About the Role:

As a CDL Driver in the Retail Trade industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to operate commercial vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle inspections. Additionally, you will interact with customers and warehouse staff, providing excellent service and addressing any concerns that may arise during the delivery process. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall efficiency and reputation of our retail operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a CDL driver in the retail or logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and route planning software.
  • Customer service experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to various retail locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include safe driving practices and knowledge of transportation regulations, which are essential for ensuring compliance and safety on the road. Strong communication skills will be utilized daily to interact with customers and team members, fostering a positive delivery experience.
