Description: HTI is seeking an experienced Mechanic Machinist (1st Shift) with an electrical equipment manufacturer in Waynesboro, GA. This position will be focused on manual machining, welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs. This position is 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. The pay range is $30 - $35/hr depending on experience.

What You Need:

• 3+ years of relevant machining and welding experience; related schooling may be considered
• Proficiency with manual mills, lathes, and grinders
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills; TIG welding is a plus
• Experience making replacement parts, fixtures, and jigs
• Mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, and housekeeping habits

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Mechanic Machinist will be responsible for machining and fabricating parts, completing mechanical repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance. Must be able to apply established trade skills independently and work effectively with the maintenance team.

• Machine bushings, spacers, and small parts for equipment repairs
• Fabricate replacement and spare parts for production machinery
• Build and repair fixtures and jigs
• Perform MIG welding and related fabrication work
• Complete preventive maintenance and repair work orders
• Support precision pump rebuilds and occasional breakdown repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete needed repairs
• Document completed work using site work order procedures
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
• Support occasional overtime for breakdowns or planned maintenance
