Assistant Kitchen Manager - Job Responsibilities

- Assist the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and management of kitchen staff.

- Oversee food preparation to ensure quality and consistency.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to health and safety standards.

- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

- Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing training for existing staff.

- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.

- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes.

- Handle customer complaints related to kitchen services and resolve issues promptly.

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.

- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff to optimize labor costs and productivity.

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.

- Support cost control measures by minimizing waste and ensuring proper portion control.

- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to kitchen staff.

Assistant Kitchen Manager - Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or relevant coursework preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role.

- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and health standards.

- Ability to manage kitchen staff schedules and duties efficiently.

- Proficiency in inventory management and ordering supplies.

- Strong communication and leadership abilities.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic computer skills for managing records and reports.
