Producer / Head of Studio

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Producer / Head of Studio based in France.

As Producer / Head of Studio, you will take strategic and operational ownership of the complete game development pipeline, overseeing the creation and delivery of high-quality online slot games. You will lead the end-to-end production lifecycle, from initial concept and creative development through certification, launch and post-launch optimisation. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that each title meets creative, technical, regulatory and commercial objectives. You will play a central role in shaping the studio's game portfolio, developing licensed content and identifying opportunities within the competitive North American gaming market. This leadership position combines creative vision, production excellence and commercial awareness in a dynamic, internationally distributed environment. You will also have the opportunity to build and mentor a growing team while establishing the processes and standards that drive long-term studio success.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end production pipeline: Oversee the complete lifecycle of all slot game projects, from initial concept and planning through development, certification, market launch and post-launch optimisation.
  • Shape the game portfolio: Define and manage the studio's game development slate, identifying themes, features and mechanics that appeal to players in US online and land-based gaming markets.
  • Lead licensed and branded content production: Manage the development of branded slot titles, coordinate relationships with licensors and oversee brand approval processes to ensure all deliverables meet agreed requirements.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate and lead cross-functional workstreams involving game designers, mathematicians, artists, audio specialists, engineers, QA professionals and compliance teams.
  • Establish production standards: Develop and implement effective production methodologies, documentation processes, quality assurance standards and operational best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory developments: Stay informed about gaming regulations across US states and Canadian provinces, ensuring that production decisions, game features and content remain aligned with market requirements.
  • Drive team development: Recruit, manage, mentor and develop talent across different disciplines, building a high-performing team as the studio expands.
  • Optimise commercial performance: Analyse game performance data and key performance indicators to inform creative decisions, improve game mechanics and maximise the commercial success of published titles.
  • Manage external partnerships: Collaborate effectively with platform providers, B2B aggregators and other industry partners to support successful game distribution and delivery.
Requirements:
  • Professional experience: At least 7 years of experience in online slot game production, with a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple titles to market.
  • US market expertise: Demonstrable experience producing online slot content for regulated US gaming markets, with a strong understanding of their commercial and regulatory requirements.
  • Licensed content production: Previous experience managing branded or licensed slot game projects, including licensor relationships, intellectual property requirements and approval workflows.
  • Game mechanics expertise: In-depth knowledge of online and land-based slot game mechanics, including hold-and-spin features, linked progressives and other popular gameplay formats.
  • Analytical capabilities: Ability to interpret game performance data, commercial KPIs and player engagement metrics to guide creative and production decisions.
  • Leadership experience: Proven ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary game development teams, coordinate complex projects and deliver results across multiple functions.
  • Mathematical knowledge: Strong understanding of slot game mathematics, including paytable structures, Return to Player (RTP) calculations and volatility profiles, with the ability to review and assess game mathematics.
  • Industry partnerships: Familiarity with B2B aggregators, game distribution models and platform partners such as Light & Wonder.
  • Additional market experience: Direct experience producing slot content for US land-based casinos or tribal gaming markets is a strong advantage.
  • Production methodologies: Knowledge of game localisation processes, international content adaptation and agile production methodologies is preferred.
  • Leadership qualities: Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills, combined with a strategic mindset, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: Monthly compensation ranging from R100,000 to R150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Remote working: Opportunity to work remotely from anywhere globally, offering flexibility and autonomy.
  • Senior leadership opportunity: Take ownership of the studio's production strategy and play a key role in shaping its creative and operational direction.
  • International exposure: Work within a UK-based gaming studio serving regulated markets worldwide, with a particular focus on North America.
  • Creative influence: Contribute directly to the development of original and licensed slot games, influencing the studio's portfolio and product strategy.
  • Team-building opportunities: Recruit, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team while helping establish the foundations for future studio growth.
  • Industry exposure: Collaborate with international gaming partners, licensors and platform providers.
  • Travel opportunities: International travel as required to support business operations, partnerships and team collaboration.
