Reports to: Location Vice President

Work location: Gainesville, GA

The Controller is responsible for overseeing cost management, financial planning, and analysis. With a deep understanding of cost accounting principles and financial strategy, this role provides insights that drive efficiency, cost reduction, and profitability.

• Leads financial planning for manufacturing operations, including annual budgeting and forecasting to ensure strategic alignment.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly financial reports, forecasts, and annual budgets, delivering key insights to management.
• Monitors and evaluates actual costs against budgeted figures, including overhead costs and allocations, offering detailed variance explanations.
• Supports capital expenditure (CapEx) planning by conducting cost-benefit analyses for new projects.
• Analyzes financial variances to determine business drivers behind plan-to-actual discrepancies.
• Provides financial insights to enhance cost understanding, operational efficiency, and performance tracking.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, and finance) to drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Supports internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts comprehensive cost variance analysis and recommends corrective actions to improve financial performance.
• Performs additional duties as required to support financial and operational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems with a focus on cost accounting modules.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, data interpretation, and strategic thinking skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating across departments.
