As a Speech Pathologist in the Therapy Department you will work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals dedicated our mission “To provide exceptional care, without exception, every patient, every time.” Valleywise Medical Center is a Level One Trauma Center which opened in 2024.

Hourly Pay Rate: $54.00

This is a POOL position

Qualifications

Education:

Requires a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Experience:

Prefer one (1) year of clinical Speech Language experience in inpatient and outpatient services (therapy school experience acceptable).

Certification/Licensure:

Requires SLP licensure through the state of AZ Department of Health Services.
Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff members.
Requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet designated deadlines are required.
