Position Description

The Sanneh Facilities Manager reports to Sanneh Foundation Senior Vice President of

Operations. This individual is responsible to (a) maintain recreational facilities located at Conway Park; (b)

supervise permits and tenant use at Conway Park; (c) create facility maintenance plans for the Conway Park

facilities and equipment, residential properties, Snelling Warehouse, as well as Sanneh maintenance and service

of facilities at the Seton Administrative building. This individual will serve as a member of the Manager and

Directors Team.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary accountabilities for the position include:


Oversee planning, design, and maintenance


  • Supervises all maintenance staff and contractors.

  • Plans and performs maintenance of the Conway Community Center, Conway Athletics Complex, and various sports and maintenance equipment.

  • Manages and maintains all Conway Dome operations, maintenance, and equipment.

  • Manages and maintains synthetic turf surfacing at the Conway Athletics Complex, as well as all associated equipment.

  • Assist in cleaning buildings in staff absence.

  • Supports and maintains facilities and equipment at the Conway Recreation Center.

  • Ensures safety and compliance for all facilities and equipment.

  • Coordinates and supervises all new construction at Conway Park.

  • Manages all maintenance contracts and services for Conway Park.

  • Manages all maintenance contracts and services for Sanneh at the University Avenue W. location, as well as residential properties and warehouse.

  • Collaborates with the Sr. Vice President of Operation to develop/implement continuity of operation plans for ALL Sanneh facilities.

  • Collaborates with the Sr. Vice of Operation to develop and operationalize risk management and risk mitigation strategies for ALL Sanneh Facilities


Support Conway Leadership to Coordinate athletic events and facility rentals


  • Oversee building security and responds to all emergencies; ensures patron and staff safety.

  • Assists in coordinating facility rentals and permits using recreational software reporting systems.

  • Assists front desk personnel with taking fees and monitoring payment of admissions; taking reservations; assisting custodial and facility staff when necessary.


Manage and develop Staff


  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment for Sanneh employees and volunteers.

  • Provide regular guidance, support, and decision-making to direct reports.

  • Delegate appropriately and monitor performance.

  • Recruit, retain and develop employees that positively contribute to the mission and values of Sanneh.

  • Provide ongoing respectful performance feedback to employees informally and during the performance review process.

  • Partner with Human Resources and Social Worker to address under-performance and develop performance plans for direct reports as appropriate.

Serve as a member of the management team


  • Work collaboratively at the management level to inform and implement Sanneh’s strategies and initiatives.

  • Make decisions that serve both the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Sanneh Foundation in all programs and services.

  • Professionally represent the Sanneh Foundation in various community engagement activities and meetings, as appropriate and approved by the Senior Vice President of Operations.

  • Participate in implementing Sanneh Foundation, mission, culture and values


Develop partnerships in the community that advance Sanneh Foundation core mission and strategic

priorities in the following areas


  • Build partnerships in the community to better serve the need of constituencies that Sanneh serves, in collaboration with the Senior Vice President of Operations.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Preferred Education & Qualifications


  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by a minimum of fifteen (15) units of technical or college-level courses in building construction, maintenance, repair or related skilled trades and fields.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in facilities construction, maintenance, or operations.

  • Ability to operate complex machinery and maintenance equipment.

  • Must have a valid Class D Minnesota License.

  • Proven entrepreneurial skillset.

  • Proven ability to understand Non-Profit Organizations as social enterprises.

  • Strong computer and technology skills including Microsoft Office Programs and Google drive.

  • Experience using ACTIVE net or other recreational software systems.
