Group Fitness Instructor at The Bridgewater Club LLC – Carmel, Indiana

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Instruct safe and effective group exercise programs and classes, at all times.*
2. Follow all policies and procedures established by the club and in the Instructor Agreement.*
3. Ensure all safety requirements are followed at all times.*
4. Keep all required certifications up to date and provide copies of certifications to the Group Fitness Supervisor.*
5. Offer the highest level of SERVICE to members, and understand the relationship that exists between service and member retention/attrition.*
6. Treat all coworkers and members with respect and kindness.*
7. Attend all Group Fitness and other scheduled meetings.*
8. Treat all members and their guests with the utmost respect.*
9. Learn and address each member by name.*
10. Accommodate and anticipate member needs and exceed their expectations.*
11. Ensure all members and guests receive the highest level of attention and service.*
12. Handle member complaints and concerns quickly and effectively.*
13. Complete all projects assigned by Fitness Director or Group Fitness Supervisor in a timely manner.*
14. Be an effective leader. Using good communication, listening, and organization skills and having a positive attitude at all times.*
15. Assist all staff members in maintaining The Bridgewater Club’s standards of maintenance and cleanliness to exceed members expectations.*
16. Read all communication from Group Fitness Supervisor in a timely manner.*
17. Performs other related duties as assigned.*

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and some prior experience helpful

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Hold and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
• Current National Certification: All group fitness instructors are required to have a current national certification (AFM, ACE, NDEITA, YMCA, ACSM, or comparable)
• Instructor Agreement
