Parking Attendant at Abacus – Portsmouth, Virginia

JOB TITLE: Parking Attendant

SCHEDULE: Varied shifts, based on event schedules.

PAY: $15.00/hour

DRESS CODE: Knee length shorts or long pants, no shirts with graphics or anything that could be deemed offensive, modest attire required, comfortable walking shoes (safety vest supplied by city). May want to bring bottled water and waist/fanny pack and apply bug spray.

LOCATION: Portsmouth, VA

JOB DETAILS:

• Direct cars into parking spaces utilizing handheld radio; and Traffic Baton/Lighted Wand
• Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Parking Operations Supervisor
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed; provide assistance to guests who have forgotten where they parked.
• Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Parking Operations Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for 6 hours and endure heat for 6 hours
• Ability to deescalate patrons that may become agitated.
• Ability to follow instructions and directions.
• Excellent Customer Service
