This role sits at the foundation of a large-scale, cloud-native platform powering business travel, payments, and spend management for thousands of companies. You will help design and evolve the control plane that enables engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate systems at scale with speed and consistency. Rather than working in a single product area, you will shape the shared infrastructure that every team depends on. The environment is highly technical, fast-growing, and strongly platform-driven, where reliability, scalability, and developer experience are treated as first-class priorities. You will collaborate closely with embedded infrastructure engineers to turn recurring operational challenges into reusable, self-serve capabilities. Your work directly influences how quickly and safely teams can ship production systems across the organization.

• Lead the evolution of the internal cloud control plane, defining long-term architectural direction and platform strategy.
• Design and deliver reusable infrastructure components such as Terraform modules, CI/CD templates, and networking patterns adopted across teams.
• Own and improve AWS multi-account architecture, including IAM boundaries, VPC design, and organizational governance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD platform capabilities, including GitHub Actions workflows, secrets management, and deployment automation.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of shared infrastructure systems, including incident response and operational hygiene.
• Collaborate with embedded engineers to identify recurring challenges and transform them into scalable self-service solutions.
• Drive improvements in developer experience by reducing manual processes and accelerating software delivery pipelines.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in production cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in AWS environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including module design, state management, and large-scale orchestration.
• Solid background in CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, reusable pipelines, OIDC, and secure secrets handling.
• Proven experience in platform engineering, building internal tools and abstractions used by other engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of networking, security boundaries, and multi-account cloud architecture.
• Experience working in or alongside embedded/platform engineering models in complex organizations.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias toward enabling teams rather than introducing bottlenecks or approvals.
