About Us:

Spartronics is a leading provider of product design and manufacturing services, specializing in high-mix, low-volume production for complex electronic and electromechanical devices. We serve critical industries, including medical, aerospace, defense, and space applications. Our mission is to provide world-class manufacturing solutions with a commitment to quality and integrity.

About the Role:

The Director of Strategic Initiatives & Governance is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving enterprise-wide bringing structure, prioritization, and execution discipline to the company’s most critical initiatives.

Current initiatives include regulatory compliance (CMMC), enterprise system deployments (D365 ERP, FactoryLogix, Arena), cloud and tenant transformations (Microsoft O365 GCCHigh to Commercial), data and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Power BI), AI deployments and governance, and a growing portfolio of Power Platform and infrastructure projects.

This role ensures these initiatives are properly defined, sequenced, and governed while aligning cross-functional stakeholders across operations, IT, engineering, and business functions, and enabling executive leadership to make clear, timely investment and prioritization decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Governance & Intake

  • Establish a single intake and prioritization model across all initiative types (compliance, cyber, ERP, infra, apps)
  • Define what qualifies as a “strategic initiative” vs. “lights-on” project work
  • Ensure consistent business cases, scope clarity, and success metrics
  • Help prevent fragmentation between ERP, PLM, MES, Cyber, and Analytics projects
  • Ensure alignment of all initiatives to enterprise strategy, customer commitments, and operational capacity across manufacturing sites

Executive Steering & Portfolio Management

Stand up and facilitate an IT Executive Steering committee aligned to enterprise priorities

Help drive prioritization across competing demands:

  • compliance vs. growth
  • plant needs vs. enterprise standards
  • speed vs. risk
  • Present clear tradeoffs and recommendations to leadership

Enable data-driven decision making by incorporating financial, operational, and resource impact into prioritization discussions.

Initiative Structuring (Hands-On)

Work directly with initiative owners to:

  • Turn loosely defined efforts into structured programs
  • Clarify dependencies (e.g., ERP, Analytics, Power Apps)
  • Identify sequencing conflicts across plants and systems

Ensure initiatives are sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations and customer delivery commitments.

Portfolio Visibility

Create a single, trusted enterprise portfolio view, including:

  • Status, risks, and interdependencies
  • Resource constraints across shared teams
  • Highlight systemic risks (e.g., overloading plants, IT bandwidth conflicts)

Execution Discipline & Standards

Introduce just enough structure to improve outcomes:

  • Standard templates (charters, status, risk logs)
  • Clear ownership and accountability models
  • Drive accountability across initiative owners and functional leaders to ensure delivery against defined outcome
  • Continuously improve governance processes to scale with organizational growth and increasing initiative complexity

Enterprise Transformation Enablement

  • Support execution of enterprise transformation initiatives including ERP, MES, PLM, data/analytics platforms, and compliance programs
  • Ensure alignment between digital transformation efforts and operational realities within a multi-site manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • Education- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic initiatives, PMO, transformation, or operations leadership
  • Experience in manufacturing, EMS, or multi-site operational environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, PLM) and/or digital transformation initiatives preferred
  • Citizenship Requirements- Must be a US Citizen for this position.

Compensation- This position is an exempt role with a salary range of $145,000-$175,000/annually with an ICP bonus of 30%. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as years of relevant experience, Education, Certifications, and specific expertise in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Our Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans.
  • HSA/FSA Options.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) promote a healthy work-life balance and improve overall well-being.
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance equal to one times your annual salary, with options to increase coverage amounts.
  • Basic Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insurance (company paid), with options to increase coverage amounts.
  • Voluntary insurance plans at a group discount.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program.
  • Opportunities to grow and excel in the Electronics Manufacturing industry at a company that values promotions and learning from within. Every day is different, challenging, and rewarding
