About This Position

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for directing the daily activities in the accounts payable and Payroll department. Oversee the process as it relates to timely processing of invoices for payment and communication both external and internal. Ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to. Responsible for Accounts Payable and Payroll reporting. This professional will provide leadership, mentoring, guidance, and training on best practices for the accounts payable/payroll staff. The Accounts Payable Manager will also collaborate with the Assistant Controller, Director of Finance, Controller, and CFO to resolve issues; adhere to best practices and create seamless end-to-end processes.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in accounts payable, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn and use job-specific computer programs
  • Proficiency in financial accounting required
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to evaluate and improve processes
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive, customer-oriented, flexible and adaptive to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
  • Multi-location or Healthcare experience is preferred.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to function across the organization
    • Confidence in relating to management staff outside the accounting department
    • Ability to relate to vendors and employees in a professional manner
  • Leadership skills with the ability to direct work with an accounting team and earn the respect of colleagues
  • Experience in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • CPA preferred
