Purchasing Assistant – Selma, TX (On-site)
EKK Eagle America, Inc.

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Selma, Texas.
This is a full-time, in-office position.

General Position Summary:

The Purchasing Assistant 70% / Logistics Support 30% is responsible for supporting the procurement process by preparing and processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This individual will have a minor role in supporting Logistics. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare, process, and verify purchase orders in accordance with company policies.

• Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, specifications, and delivery schedules.

• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels.

• Track shipments from suppliers.

• Coordinate with internal teams (warehouse, finance, sales, customer service reps) to meet procurement needs.

• Perform data entry into ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).

• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.

• Generate reports on purchasing activities for management and vendors.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Creating Invoices and shipping documents.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and accurate data entry.

• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

• Adaptable to changes and shifting priorities.

• Ability to build and maintain positive vendor relationships.

• 0–2 years in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (SAP, QuickBooks).

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Required Job Related Education, Certificates/Licenses:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid driver’s license required
