Account Executive - Federal and Public Sector

This role focuses on driving enterprise software sales within the Federal and public sector space, supporting organizations as they modernize and optimize mission-critical infrastructure and application systems. You will act as a strategic partner to government and public sector clients, engaging senior decision-makers and guiding them through complex, high-value software transformations. The position requires strong consultative selling skills, deep understanding of enterprise environments, and the ability to shape opportunities early in the sales cycle. You will be responsible for building and managing a robust sales pipeline while collaborating closely with technical and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions. Success in this role depends on your ability to navigate complex procurement environments and establish long-term trusted relationships. This is a high-impact, remote-friendly sales role within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive enterprise software sales across Federal and public sector accounts, focusing on infrastructure and application modernization solutions
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to build a strong, sustainable sales pipeline
  • Engage with senior government and public sector stakeholders as a trusted advisor, shaping opportunities early in the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with field marketing, sales engineering, and product teams to support campaigns, events, and customer engagements
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing complex deals
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in alignment with company objectives and customer requirements
  • Position solutions effectively against competitors by aligning technical capabilities with customer mission and IT priorities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, specifically within Federal government or public sector environments
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex sales environments
  • Experience selling infrastructure or application software solutions to large or mid-market organizations
  • Ability to navigate government procurement processes and long sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for forecasting and pipeline management
  • High level of integrity, adaptability, and professionalism in customer-facing interactions
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
  • Federal security clearance is a plus but not required
