What You’ll Do

As a General Laborer - Forklift Operator at Concast, you’ll play a key role in keeping production and shipping running efficiently. You’ll safely move concrete products throughout the plant, load and unload trucks, prepare products for shipment, and help ensure everything is where it needs to be to support a smooth, productive operation. This is a hands-on role that values precision, teamwork, and safety.

Product Handling & Shipping

• Load, unload, and transport concrete products using a forklift and other equipment
• Palletize, stack, and prepare concrete products for shipping
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, damage, or shortages
• Stage and organize products in designated areas for efficient workflow

Safety & Quality

• Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with Concast’s housekeeping standards
• Report and document damaged or nonconforming products
• Assist in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet daily production goals
• Complete basic administrative or documentation tasks related to shipping and receiving
• Support other plant duties and special projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience with forklift operation and product handling in manufacturing environment preferred
• Forklift certification (or ability to become certified)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work in a physically active environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance, teamwork, and a strong work ethic
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, stoop, climb, and lift 25–50 lbs (occasionally more)
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements (70% of the time) and indoors in a Plant Setting (30% of the time)
• Operate moving equipment safely and attentively
• Available to work overtime as production needs require

Pay & Benefits

• Pay range: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
