About This Position

House of Forgings and Ironwood Connection are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Sales Associate to support the sale of custom hand railing and banister solutions for residential and commercial customers. This role is responsible for guiding customers through the design and ordering process while ensuring accurate quoting, exceptional service, and seamless coordination with production and installation teams.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to understand their project needs and provide information about custom hand railing and banister products and services.

• Guide customers through product selection, design options, and material choices to create tailored solutions.

• Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for custom railing and banister projects.

• Follow up with customers to finalize orders, answer questions, and ensure a positive customer experience.

• Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and project updates.

• Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure orders are processed, manufactured, and delivered accurately and on time.

• Review drawings, measurements, and specifications to confirm project requirements.

• Attend trade shows, home shows, and other industry events to promote products and services.

• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new product options.

• Maintain customer and sales records within the CRM system.

• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably within building materials, construction, or related industries.

• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or technical documents.

• Knowledge of basic construction and building materials.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on customer commitments.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.

• May be required to visit job sites, showrooms, or customer locations.
