Description

Scooter's Coffee is seeking a Senior Campaign Operations Engineer to lead the design, execution, and optimization of complex loyalty and promotional experiences that power our customer engagement strategy. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology and serves as a critical technical partner in bringing sophisticated campaign strategies to life at scale.

As a senior member of the Campaign Operations team, you will own end-to-end campaign logic within our next-generation rules engine, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You'll translate high-level marketing objectives into precise, performant logic; proactively identify risks and optimization opportunities; and help shape best practices across our loyalty and MarTech ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex systems, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and takes pride in building reliable frameworks that others can build upon. You'll be hands-on while also acting as a thought partner and mentor, helping elevate campaign operations maturity across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the configuration, testing, and deployment of loyalty and promotional campaigns within Talon. One, ensuring accuracy and consistency across environments.
  • Build and manage rule sets, conditions, effects, and customer targeting to translate campaign briefs into logic that drives engagement.
  • Create and maintain campaign hierarchies (e.g., program-level vs. promo-level) for scalability, organization, and long-term maintainability.
  • Use the Talon. One Campaign Manager and Rule Builder to simulate and QA test scenarios before deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to validate event payloads, API calls, and offer redemption flows, ensuring seamless cross-system performance.
  • Monitor campaign health in Talon. One dashboards, auditing coupon states, redemptions, and eligibility logic to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain clear documentation for campaign logic, workflows, and dependencies to support team alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Streamline and scale operations by templatizing repeatable campaign frameworks and supporting automation initiatives.
  • Partner with Talon. One support and CSM to troubleshoot platform issues, advocate for feature enhancements, and stay aligned with product updates.
  • Contribute to cross-functional testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement efforts across the broader Martech stack.
  • Mentor or assist in training other team members learning to use the Talon. One system

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, loyalty, or campaign management roles with a technical or analytical focus.
  • Deep, hands-on experience configuring and deploying promotions or offers within a rules engine.
  • Strong understanding of API calls, webhooks, and event-based triggers across integrated MarTech platforms.
  • Proven ability to QA data flows and diagnose cross-system issues quickly and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured, documentation-first approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex logic into clear explanations for non-technical partners.
  • Collaborative mindset with comfort working alongside marketing, analytics, and engineering teams.
