The Role

Crescendo is looking for talented individuals to join our Human Resources team. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will support HR processes and manage the HRIS at our TGU Hub. This role provides administrative support to the HR team, including record-keeping, maintaining electronic and physical files, auditing, and HRIS data entry.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong time management and analytical skills, and excels at supporting associates with efficiency and attention to detail. Delivering prompt and accurate assistance to employees is critical to this role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and candidate inquiries regarding basic HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing timely and professional responses and escalating issues as needed.
  • Coordinate and support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including new hire onboarding, New Hire Orientation, documentation follow-up, and employee offboarding activities such as final paperwork and systems access.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Assist with the administration of HR systems by entering employee data accurately, generating routine reports, and performing basic HR data analysis to track key metrics and support operational decision-making.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Assist in preparing employment contracts, notices, and standard HR documents.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, including employee benefit enrollments, responding to routine benefits inquiries, and performing basic audits and data checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Help ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies by assisting with audits and maintaining required documentation.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of HR processes, workflows, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional stakeholders on operational tasks, projects, and initiatives that support employee engagement and company culture.

What We Expect From You:

  • 1+ years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift quickly, and responsibilities are broad.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review HR data, generate basic reports, and provide insights to support operational decisions.
  • Works well in a highly dynamic environment.
