Work environment: Supply Chain Management

Work Hours: Full-Time, Evenings

Schedule: Thursday-Monday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Here's What You Need:



Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience

3 Years Hospital materials management Required

Supervisory experience Preferred

Skills

Knowledge of supply chain management. Good written and verbal communications skills. Ability to lead others. Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals helpful. Capable of setting priorities and multi-tasking. Basic computer skills. Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.



What You Will Do:

• Plan organize and delegate activities as required for safe efficient and effective operation of Materials Management department.

• Prepare operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. Works to ensure that all expenses are appropriately accounted for using most accurate NEC's. Manages own department budget and also works with others to effectively control expenses for the hospital. Can explain variances on monthly budget vs. actual expense dollars. Manages the assigned inventories at the hospital to ensure accuracy. Works to help control the expense of all departments as a general oversight, maintains a watch on rental equipment.

• Incorporate customer needs and expectations into daily operations and business planning. Promote team building strategies and principles of group process and interaction with staff. Works with departments/nursing units regularly to ensure that appropriate par levels have been agreed upon. Helps departments to understand processes. Earns trust, listens and communicates clearly.

• Maintains a healthy, upbeat attitude in all employee relationships as well as business-like, professional demeanor with sales representatives. Assist in the development, coordination and continued growth of the Supply Chain program throughout the system. Works with RCB, SCM leadership to ensure that standardization of product and processes are followed. Is a positive voice for hospital back to SCM leadership regarding new products concerns and issues.

• Responsible and accountable for all staffing needs to include hiring, training, performance reviews and corrective actions if needed. Continually promotes professional growth and development of the staff using all products and education session made available by THR. Promotes team work in both decision making and daily activities. Ensures that recognizing and rewards are provided to staff as appropriate.

• Other significant activities in addition to job responsibilities/goals/KPI's i.e. projects.
