About This Position

EMG is a rapidly growing company and as we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Community Compliance Manager to join our team and ensure that our communities maintain and increase property values, while complying with community ccrs as well as local regulations. .

Job Description:

The Community Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing compliance initiatives for our communities. They will work closely with internal teams and community members to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and community policies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of compliance principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and document violations, including safety hazards, environmental concerns, property maintenance as well as violations to the community rules and regulations tailored to the unique needs of each community.

2. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.

3. Maintain awareness of changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

4. Collaborate with CAMs to address compliance issues and mitigate risks effectively.

5. Investigate reports of non-compliance and take appropriate corrective actions.

6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.

7. Draft notices using templates provided

8. Potentially serve as a liaison for future needs between residents/homeowners when needed.

9. Keep community managers informed of compliance status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

10. Attend Board meetings and participate on one-on-one meetings with Board or Committee members

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in compliance management, preferably in a community environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence people at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Safe driving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Salary

$40,000-$45,000/yr

Environmental Conditions
  • Work is frequently performed outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions common to Central Florida, including high heat, humidity, heavy rain, and seasonal storms.
  • Inspections may require navigating uneven terrain, landscaped areas, construction zones, driveways, sidewalks, and community common areas. Potential exposure to environmental elements
Travel & Driving
  • The role requires daily driving between multiple communities across Central Florida. Extended periods of driving will be required
  • Employees may encounter various traffic, roadway, and weather conditions and must safely operate a vehicle in these environments.
  • Travel includes transporting inspection materials, documentation tools, and other job-related equipment as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular walking, standing, bending, and stooping while inspecting properties and community amenities.
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 25 lbs, such as signs, binders, notices, and equipment.
  • Occasional need to navigate steps, curbs, slopes, or elevated surfaces during community inspections.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a combination of:
    • Field settings (majority of the time), conducting inspections and documenting findings
    • Office or remote settings, completing reports, communication, and administrative tasks
  • Use of technology such as mobile devices, tablets, cameras, and software applications is required for documentation and reporting.
Schedule & Availability
  • Primarily operates during standard business hours; however, occasional flexibility may be required to attend community meetings, perform time-sensitive inspections, or support special projects.
  • May involve working occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on operational needs.
Interpersonal & Communication Requirements
  • Frequent interaction with residents, board members, property managers, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Situations may occasionally involve addressing sensitive compliance issues or resolving disputes, requiring sound judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
