Class A CDL Truck Driver at York Building Products – Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Heritage Concrete is hiring a Class A Dry Bulk Tanker Driver (No tanker endorsement needed) for our Avondale PA location. Our Drivers deliver locally and are home every day The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of cement to our plants in Delaware and Chester County PA.

Position Essential Functions Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of cement powder from cement supplier to our plant locations in Delaware and Chester County, PA
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed.
• Driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic.
• Read and understand delivery tickets and clearly communicate with the dispatch department via radio and tablet regarding all deliveries.
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
• Load, unload and secure cement powder
• Maintains good vehicle appearance and internal cleanliness.
• Maintains the highest standard of quality and safety in all aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL-A License
• At least 3 months experience commercially driving a manual/stick shift transmission
• Less then 4 points/ 2 moving violations in past 3 years. No DUI within 5 Years, No accidents in commercial vehicle in 3 years. No Clearinghouse violations
• Able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday with early morning and OT. Saturdays as needed
• Must pass pre-employment background check, DOT drug screen and DOT physical

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the day.
• Must be able to climb on traditional and truck ladders.
• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
• Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists while driving.
• Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
