Cryogenic Technician at Toll Company – Plymouth, Minnesota

Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Cryogenic Service Technician. The technician is responsible for safely installing, maintaining, inspecting and removing bulk tanks, pipelines, regulators, pressure valves, and other components of gas supply systems. We have over 100 bulk tanks in the field with multiple installs occurring each year. Our systems are primarily for the storage and usage of liquid and gaseous nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and CO2. The installation and maintenance team includes 1 manager, 1 technician, and 1 applications engineer.

Work Location & Travel: This position spends half their time doing field installs within 100 miles of the Twin Cities metro and the other half of the time is spent at the Plymouth headquarters. This may vary based on install job schedules.

Hours: Typical work week is 40 hours Monday thru Friday but must be flexible to work overtime as needed. Position is required to be part of the on call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

Pay: Based on years and scope of trade skill experience $27 - $37. Pay is reviewed annually. Position is part of annual gainshare bonus program.

What you’ll Do

• Install, service, inspect, and remove all types of cryogenic gas supply systems
• Design and custom build parts and equipment as needed
• Collaborate with customers and internal staff on design and requirements of cryogenic systems
• Assist with building maintenance as needed
• Collect gas samples
• Maintain paperwork, records and monitor bulk tank telemetry systems.
• Be part of the on call rotation to provide 24 hour technical support for customers

The Talents You Need to be Successful

• A broad knowledge and hands-on experience doing:

- Welding, MIG, TIG, Stick

- Pipefitting including fab, assembly, install and maintenance

- HVAC, repair install and maintenance of equipment and controls

- Equipment Assembly

• Proficient at using MS Office programs, word, excel, outlook
• No fear of heights
• Willing to operate a forklift
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift up to 75lbs
• Occasionally able to work in tight, dark spaces to run piping for customer use and fill lines
