We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Summer Interns to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the industry.
Job Summary: As a Summer Intern at Rensa Filtration, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that align with our company’s goals and provide hands-on learning experiences. Each intern will be assigned a manager at their specific place of work who will guide them, provide feedback, and ensure a valuable experience. You will connect with professionals across departments, attend team meetings, participate in cross-functional projects, and expand your network. At the end of the summer, you will have the chance to showcase what you’ve learned to the Rensa Senior Team through a brief presentation outlining your experiences and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Documentation and Standardization
- Review current state of documents and identify gaps
- Issue work instructions for processes missing documentation
- Issue startup and settings controlled documentation for equipment
- Identify areas to improve process flow
- Waste and Scrap Reduction (Lean/Continuous Improvement)
- Analyze process and material flow for production areas
- Identify causes for waste and scrap (conduct root cause analysis)
- Deliver recommendations for scrap reduction
- Implement process and methodology changes to reduce waste/scrap
- Dashboards and KPI Tracking
- Assist on development and implementation of SQDIP boards for production
- Participate in daily department meetings
- Assist in defining or re-defining KPIs for departments/production lines
- Deliver recommendations for improvements based on data
- Layout and Equipment
- Assist on updating production floor layouts
- Work on equipment list (identify power/air requirements, location, etc.)
- Propose and implement 5S projects across the production floor
- Collaborate with your assigned manager to receive guidance and feedback.
- Connect with professionals across various departments to gain a broad understanding of the company.
- Attend team meetings and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Expand your professional network within the company.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the Rensa Senior Team at the end of the summer, outlining your experiences and insights.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field
- Strong interest in the air filtration industry and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
