Paradigm Solar is seeking a motivated and reliable Solar Installer / Labourer to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, energy-efficient solar installations for both residential and commercial projects.
The Solar Installer / Labourer will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of grid-connected and solar energy systems. This position requires physical strength and endurance, comfort working at heights and on rooftops, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, takes direction well, works hard, and has a genuine interest in renewable energy and sustainable building practices. This role offers clear growth potential within a fast-growing division.
- Assist with installation of solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted systems
- Support electrical connections under the direction of a certified Journeyperson
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Work at heights using proper fall protection and safety procedures
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and WorkSafeBC standards
- Take direction from Site Supervisor and support team objectives
- Identify and report potential hazards or installation concerns
- Previous construction, roofing, or labour experience considered an asset
- Basic understanding of electrical systems considered an asset
- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively
- Work primarily outdoors on rooftops or ground=mounted installations
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands such as lifting panels and climbing ladders.
- Shifts are typically 10-12 hours, with overtime expected.
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience).
