About This Position
Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a motivated Groundskeeping Intern to support the care, appearance, and safety of our hospital campus and MGMCserviced outbuildings. Under general supervision, this role performs a variety of groundskeeping and landscaping tasks, contributing directly to a welcoming and healing environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance of MGMC landscaping, including rooftop and healing gardens.
- Trim and prune trees, bushes, flowers, and grasses.
- Weed, mulch, and refresh flower beds.
- Mow and trim grass as needed.
- Operate basic groundskeeping and landscaping equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Facilities Management leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver’s license with ability to remain eligible under MGMC’s insurance policy.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, including equipment manuals and regulatory documentation.
- Functional knowledge of basic building and groundskeeping equipment.
- Compliance with required stroke education per regulatory standards.

Heavy work is exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
