The Director will lead partnership strategy, operations, and contracting for medical specialty programs, working closely with internal teams across clinical, technology, finance, and member experience functions. This position requires a combination of negotiation expertise, operational leadership, and deep knowledge of medical benefit and payer contracting. You will serve as the primary liaison for key provider partners, fostering collaboration, resolving escalations, and optimizing mutual value. Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for key provider and supplier partnerships, establishing clear objectives, project plans, and KPIs
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with buy-and-bill providers, infusion suites, home infusion providers, and specialty pharmacies
  • Act as the primary internal and external contact for partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving mutual value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage partnerships for revenue growth, market expansion, and enhanced solution offerings
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of partnerships, including managing meetings, tracking KPIs, and addressing risks and opportunities
  • Support resolution of escalations and challenges related to partner interactions, ensuring excellent member and provider experiences
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience leading healthcare partnerships, account management, or business development in the medical or specialty pharmacy space
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining strategic alliances, with strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Deep understanding of medical specialty medications and medical benefit reimbursement models
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across multiple channels
  • Strong project management and operational skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed for site meetings, partner engagements, or events
