Junior Estimator (Entry-Level)

Position Summary

The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team with take-offs, bid preparation, and mapping analysis. This role utilizes GIS tools and mapping software to measure properties, analyze site data, and support accurate bid development.

This is an entry-level role with hands-on exposure to real projects, working closely with estimators, account managers, and operations teams.

What You’ll Do

· Assist with material and labor take-offs for bids

· Use GIS and mapping tools to measure properties and analyze site data

· Support preparation of proposals for maintenance and enhancement work

· Enter and manage bid information in company systems (Aspire or similar)

· Review plans, aerial imagery, and site data to support estimating accuracy

· Help ensure bids are accurate and submitted on time

· Maintain organized project files and documentation

· Participate in occasional site visits and field walks

What We’re Looking For

· 0–2 years of experience in estimating, GIS, construction, landscaping, or related field

· Experience or coursework in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) preferred

· Familiarity with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar mapping platforms

· Degree (or currently pursuing) in:

o GIS / Geography

o Construction Management

o Horticulture

o Engineering or related field

· Strong attention to detail and organization

· Basic math skills (measurements, quantities, calculations)

· Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and computer systems

· Strong communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
