DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Transport, load and unload baked goods, food items and supplies between multiple SusieCakes bakeries, commissary and/or guest locations. Perform duties as instructed by the Manager-on-Duty (MOD), Head Baker, or General Manager.In order to ensure safe driving practices and for training and insurance purposes, all Company vehicles are equipped with cameras, which continuously record video of the interior and exterior of the vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for adhering to the required culinary operations schedule
  • Review and manage the delivery calendar activities daily
  • Ensure that all bakery products are handled properly and stored/loaded onto the delivery cruiser in a proper manner
  • Ensure that all products on the Daily Bakery Requisition are accounted for by checking off product as it is loaded into the delivery cruiser
  • Ensure all food is handled and stored according to all required food safety code standards
  • Accurately perform shuttle pick-up and drop-off requests between bakeries
  • Provide superior guest service when you arrive to the delivery location i.e. home, work, etc.
  • Capable of escalating guest issues that arise to management expeditiously
  • Ensure that all routine vehicle maintenance is handled on the delivery cruiser
  • Report all delivery cruiser service matters and/or mechanical malfunction issues to management immediately for repair authorization or correction
  • Ensure that the interior and exterior of the delivery cruiser are maintained in accordance to the companys cleanliness standards
  • Retain all gasoline, oil and repair receipts for the delivery cruiser
  • Ensure the delivery cruiser is driven in a professional manner consistent with local vehicle laws
  • Assist with kitchen food prep as needed
  • Assist culinary team with production as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid drivers license
  • No at fault accidents and moving violations within the last three years
  • Proof of a registered vehicle for use
  • Minimum state-required auto insurance
  • Knowledgeable of GPS navigation systems
  • Outstanding customer service focus and skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Must be able to safely utilize all bakery equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in multiple regional locations
  • Ability to work in cross functional roles as needed (front-of house & back-of-house)
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs
  • Must have reliable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English

OTHER:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
