About This Position
PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is crucial in ensuring successful and organized usage of PenMet Parks’ assets. The Facility Site Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, care, and management of PenMet Parks’ facilities while in use by the public. The position maintains amenities, upholds excellent customer service standards, and provides security to our community during facility use, concessions, and mini golf. This position will be working a flexible schedule to support private events such as weddings, birthday and graduation parties, baby showers, and events as well as a variety of community meetings, sporting events, and usage by non-profits or other groups. JOB CLASSIFICATONS:Positions in the job classification series are flexible depending upon the qualifications upon hiring with advancement to higher levels as recommended by the Direction of Recreation Services. Facility Site Supervisor PT1: This job classification is entry-level and works under general supervision in the assigned area as responsibilities are learned and skills are developed. No experience required. Facility Site Supervisor PT2: This job classification generally has basic related job experience. This position will work under limited supervision. 1-3 years of experience. Facility Site Supervisor PT3: The job classification typically has more than 3 years of job-related experience and works under very limited supervision. This position may provide lead direction and oversee the work of others at a facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:General supervision, care, and control of the facilities within PenMet Parks. This includes, but is not limited to buildings, fields, courts, and mini golf.Maintains facilities, equipment, and amenities by opening and closing buildings, setting up and taking down equipment, which may include tables, chairs, A/V, and other requested items, emptying garbage and recycling, and general cleaning.Completes administrative duties in a timely manner such as incident reports, opening and closing procedures, facility and equipment inspections, and attendance records.Assists facility users and staff with general site supervision and security. Reinforces Park and facility rules and guidelines.Monitors user functions to ensure that building security is maintained, facility guidelines are followed, and the rental contract is executed. Reports all concerns, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor for follow up in a timely manner and take appropriate action. Opens and closes facilities, ensuring that alarms are properly set, and doors are secure, returning all equipment to their original location.Maintains an understanding of programs, classes, camps, and services offered by PenMet Parks.Provides excellent customer service while working at mini golf, concessions, events, recreation center, and other facilities. Attends meetings and training courses as required. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, PenMet Parks’ employees, volunteers, and the public. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Experience:Facility Site Supervisor PT1: No Customer Service or Facility Supervisor experience is required.Facility Site Supervisor PT2: 1-3 years of Customer Service or Facility Supervisor experience. Facility Site Supervisor PT3: 3+ years of Customer Service experience or Facility Supervisor experience. Required Education:High School Education or equivalent. Professional Licenses/Certifications:CPR/1st Aid Certificate Knowledge/Skills:Read, interpret, direct, and follow policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. Lift a minimum of 50 pounds to arrange tables, chairs, and room equipment. Handle multiple tasks in a high paced environment.Secure, open, close, and lock facilities when events or rentals start and end.Possess knowledge and practice of safety protocols, first aid, blood borne pathogens, and other emergency procedures. Communicate with clients in a variety of situations. Possess the ability to be professional during high stress situations. Be a flexible self-starter. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work is performed in multiple PenMet Parks’ facilities and properties. Some work will be performed in settings with exposure to varying environmental and weather conditions.The position will occasionally require you to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.This position will require seeing, talking, walking, standing, bending, crouching, crawling, carrying, pushing, and pulling.Local travel will be required.Valid Washington driver’s license (required).
