About the Role:

As a Lead Scaffold Builder based in Deer Park, TX, you will play a critical role in the construction and maintenance of safe and reliable scaffolding structures for industrial and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that scaffolding systems are designed, assembled, and dismantled in compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. You will collaborate closely with project managers, safety officers, and other construction professionals to support efficient workflow and timely project completion. This role demands a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety to protect both personnel and property. Ultimately, your work will provide essential access and support for various construction, maintenance, and inspection activities, contributing directly to the success of complex projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in scaffold building or a related construction trade.
  • Valid OSHA 10 or 30-hour construction safety certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scaffold safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaffold Builder certification or equivalent industry-recognized credential.
  • Experience working in industrial or petrochemical environments.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proven ability to lead small teams or supervise scaffold erection projects.
  • Familiarity with rigging and fall protection equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Inspect scaffolding components and structures regularly to identify and address any safety hazards or defects.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and safety personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspections conducted.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior scaffold builders to promote skill development and adherence to safety practices.
  • Transport scaffolding materials and equipment to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
  • Adapt scaffolding solutions to meet the unique requirements of each project, including working at various heights and in challenging environments.
