Position Summary: ANSER is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to provide direct support for an Intelligence Community customer. This role will lead strategic messaging and external communications efforts. You will provide senior-level public affairs, media engagement, and stakeholder communication support to advance organizational objectives.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans.
- Draft and release publications and official communications.
- Manage media relations and coordinate external outreach efforts.
- Develop messaging materials for senior leadership engagements.
- Oversee social media content development and release.
- Coordinate public affairs activities and event communications.
- Design and support development of visual media and graphics.
- Coordinate pre-publication and security reviews for all media content.
- Provide metrics reports with website links and impressions for social media.
- Planning, recording, and editing podcast episodes and assisting with transcript reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Federal public affairs or external communications.
- Demonstrated experience managing media relations.
- Demonstrated experience drafting publications and communication materials.
- Experience supporting requirements for video filming and production, podcasts, logo design, and/or presentation graphics/infographics.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community public affairs programs.
- Experience supporting research and development or highly technical organizations.
- Experience supporting a demanding, fast-paced customer environment requiring flexibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
