Direct Support Professional- Grand Island- Hiring Bonus! at Hands Of Heartland – Grand Island, Nebraska

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professional/DSP at our day center and residential locations in Grand Island, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a day center, home environment, and in community settings.

Hours:

• Full-time and Part-time available.

Shifts:

• Day shift is 7a-3p or 8a-4p with every other weekend required.
• Flexible schedule is also available.
  

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be at 18 years old or older.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
• Experience not required – we will train you!

Pay:

• Now offering a $300 hiring bonus. First half paid out after 30 days of employment and second half paid out after 60 days of employment.
• $16/hour is starting. Pay range is $16-17 an hour. We pay more for direct experience and CNA license
  
• We also offer CEUs for those who already have a CNA license, allowing them to maintain an active license while doing meaningful work that transforms lives as a DSP!
