Sleep Lab Intern - Workforce Development Intern at Hendrick Medical Center – Abilene, Texas

A sleep lab intern learns competency in and assists with basic sleep and EEG testing procedures. The sleep lab intern works under direct supervision and observes and assists with procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. The sleep lab intern learns how accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses are generated by the brain and how they provide quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with department policies.

Minimum Education

• Associates or Bachelors level student
