JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

DATE: February 26, 2026
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide the leadership, training, coaching and mechanical know-how that will equip others to be top performers who get the job done.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep associates accountable for the work they are doing. Make sure associates are managing their time well. Ensure associates understand their job, work instructions, control plans, and the requirements of the customer.

• Actively communicate with all departments to insure smooth coordination and completion of the Production Schedule. Understand the status of each job and make sure it is being completed according to the Production Schedule.

• Promote good associate relations. Actively listen to associate suggestions, ideas, and concerns. Remain tactful, cooperative, and cultivate a team atmosphere with all associates.

• Ensure that each work center is clean and organized.

• Research and recommend new methods to improve quality and productivity.

• Ensure new associates receive proper training. Daily coach and support associates. Ask questions to challenge associates to discover solutions.

• Know the status of your available resources on a daily basis (people, equipment, etc.). Keep quality and productivity reports current and accurate.

• On an annual basis, formally evaluate associate performance. Daily give praise and constructive criticism to associates. Keep the Operations Manager informed and measure/document production and performance issues.

• Manage the safety and welfare of your associates. Be prepared to carry-out any emergency procedures. Ensure that all areas are properly secured.

• When required, assist in set-up, maintenance, and operation of machines. Be available to perform other duties that may suddenly take higher priority over the current schedule, in order to service and please our customers.

• Requisition, purchase and inventory materials as required.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:

• Lead by example, a team ranging from 25 to 40 manufacturing associates responsible for the cutting, mounting and bindery operations.
• Must be able to manage lots of changing variables due to a highly custom, niche manufacturing operation with fluid schedules.
• Primary language is English and Spanish on our 2nd shift; 3:30pm to midnight.
III. REQUIRED SKILL SET

• Quickly assimilate knowledge of production processes and equipment.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

• Proactive communication skills; Bilingual in Spanish and English

• Good mechanical ability extremely helpful.

• Effective coaching and training skills.

• Excellent people skills in motivating and resolving conflict.

• More than two years of production experience; college highly desirable.
