Job Title: Beer/Wine & Gourmet Foods Associate

Location: Coeur d'Alene

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Position

Provide excellent customer service across the Beer & Wine and Gourmet Foods departments. Assist customers with product selection, recommendations, and special orders while helping maintain well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing displays. This role also includes preparing and packaging gourmet meats and cheeses and supporting daily department operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product recommendations
• Assist customers with beer, wine, and gourmet food selections and pairings
• Slice, weigh, and package meats and cheeses
• Stock, face, and rotate products to maintain quality and presentation
• Receive and process shipments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Operate department equipment safely (slicers, knives, scales, etc.)

Requirements

• Experience in the beer and/or wine industry required
• Interest in gourmet foods; food service experience preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 21 years of age (Required to serve and taste alcohol)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to bend and twist while cleaning and stocking shelves
• Operate store equipment such as phones, intercom systems, bailers, box knives, and calculators safely and efficiently
