The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Performs MRI procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply radio frequencies for diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved Radiological Technology Program that meets the requirements set by the ASRT and the New Jersey Certification Board
- One - two years' experience as a staff technologist, including at least one year as an MRI Technologist
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- ARRT Licensure (RT, R, MR) or registry eligible within 6 months of employment
- Licensed by the New Jersey State-DEP
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day shift
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Working with Radiologists in protocoling proper studies for all of our patients
- Demonstrating patient care excellence of service
- Consistently reviews patient charts, scripts, referrals for physician order and diagnosis
- Performs diagnostic procedures in a timely, efficient manner according to policy and procedure
- Directs activities toward full compliance and accreditation with ACR, New Jersey State-DEP and TJC
- Uses AIDET to explain procedures in great detail to all the patients
- Prepares the room, equipment, special supplies, trays and contrast materials as needed for the patients and procedures
- Adequately screens patients for ferrous objects
- Maintains Documentation according to Policy and Procedure
- Demonstrates Leadership skills and duties
- Provides a safe environment
- Actively assists with the clerical duties and the escorting of patients
- Orders exams and charges out procedures after finished
- Assists with clerical duties and escorting patients as needed
- Participates in reviewing and training all new personnel
- Orders supply as needed
