This role serves as a critical strategic and execution partner to a senior executive within the energy and infrastructure sector, ensuring alignment between leadership priorities and cross-functional delivery. It combines high-level strategic thinking with hands-on operational ownership, acting as the connective tissue between leadership, teams, and execution. The Chief of Staff will shape operating rhythms, drive key initiatives forward, and ensure clarity in decision-making across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. This is a highly visible role requiring strong structure, communication, and analytical rigor. The environment is fast-paced, matrixed, and execution-focused, with significant exposure to executive leadership and strategic business planning. It is well suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and organizational effectiveness.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead annual and quarterly strategic planning processes by translating leadership priorities into actionable initiatives, execution plans, and measurable objectives.
  • Design and manage executive operating rhythms, including agendas, leadership meetings, offsites, and quarterly business reviews, ensuring clear outcomes and follow-through.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across development, engineering, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain integrated program tracking systems covering milestones, dependencies, risks, ownership, and decision logs.
  • Identify execution bottlenecks and proactively coordinate resolution plans with accountable stakeholders.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance insights, supporting leadership decision-making.
  • Conduct strategic and analytical deep-dives to support prioritization, resource allocation, and scenario planning.
  • Serve as a central coordination point for stakeholder alignment and executive communications across teams.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing materials, and leadership updates for internal and external audiences.
  • Support governance, risk management, and decision documentation to ensure clarity and accountability across initiatives.
  • Contribute to organizational effectiveness through process improvements, operating model clarity, and reporting standardization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, strategy, consulting, or executive support roles within energy, power, or infrastructure industries.
  • Strong experience supporting senior executives in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
  • Deep understanding of energy or infrastructure business models, including development and operational lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and drive execution across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Strong program management skills, including the ability to build structured trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • High analytical capability with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear recommendations.
  • Financial and commercial acumen to support business case development and prioritization decisions.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including executive writing and presentation development.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for executive-level reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational agility with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and contract structure (1099 consulting engagement)
  • Opportunity for temp-to-hire conversion based on performance
  • Remote work flexibility with occasional travel (approximately once per month)
  • Exposure to senior executive leadership and high-impact strategic initiatives
  • Collaborative, non-hierarchical consulting culture focused on autonomy and accountability
  • Strong emphasis on professional growth and skills development
  • Opportunity to work on high-visibility projects shaping industry outcomes in the energy sector
  • Flexible, self-managed workload environment with high trust and ownership.
