About the Role:
The Doctor Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the veterinarians and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care. This position involves assisting with clinical tasks, managing patient records, and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff to ensure efficient and effective healthcare delivery. Additionally, this role requires maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor to provide comfort and reassurance to patients throughout their visit. Ultimately, the Doctor Assistant ensures that both administrative and clinical operations run seamlessly, enhancing the overall patient experience and supporting the healthcare provider’s objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, and clinical procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:.
- Prefer a minimum of two years previous veterinary clinic experience.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are a MUST.
Responsibilities:
- Create accurate estimates and convert estimates into treatment plans
- Make follow-up calls for progress exams, updates, client compliance, and recommendations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner are essential
- Demonstrate a positive attitude when dealing with pet owners, management, and staff
- Timely updating patient medical records in SmartFlow & ezyVet, including doctors SOAP notes, client communications, diagnostics results, and treatment plans

Experience:
- veterinary emergency: 2 years (Preferred)
- Veterinary terminology: 2 years (Preferred)
- Veterinary Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
